Respiratory Therapy Tech (RT Student) - PRN / Per Diem / As Needed
Job Summary and Qualifications Maintains respiratory equipment and supplies, helping ensure that the appropriate supplies and equipment are available to staff. Performs oxygen rounds and enters the appropriate charge and documentation. Receives work assignments, and prioritizes workload effectively to maximize number of procedures performed. Prioritizes workload according to needs on a daily basis. Provides back up assistance to other associates in the department. Evaluates task performed for appropriateness. Assist in notifying staff of order changes when appropriate. Utilizes good body mechanics all times. Reports supply and equipment needs to the Supervisor/Charge Person. Receives and stocks supplies upon arrival to department. Listens to and participates in shift report, department meetings and in-services. Answers calls from the department promptly. Retrieves equipment from patient areas, cleans and re-stocks on a daily basis.What qualifications you will need:
- Currently enrolled as a student in an approved Respiratory Therapy program (an RT student), preferred
- High School Diploma or GED/equivalent required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
