Job Description
The Housing Director is a full-time, twelve-month, live-in position responsible for managing the day-to-day housing operations for the
university. In addition, they will manage all housing assignments, maintain the housing software system, and coordinate facility plans. This position will also oversee the housing selection process and RA selection process. The director will provide leadership for the overall campus living and learning experience and manage all related tasks associated with maintaining a residential community.
The person in this position will work closely with two other live-in professionals to provide a comprehensive residential programming model on campus.
This position will manage a residential area of 3 residence halls (approximately 200 students) and supervise 5 to 8 resident assistants.
Responsibilities will include staff training, conflict mediation, crisis intervention, and the implementation of residence hall programming designed to complement the goals of the residence life program and the mission of the University.
This live-in position will require flexible hours, a team-building attitude, and a sincere desire to work with students in a religiously affiliated, private liberal arts university environment.
This person will serve on a three-person on-call rotation for campus emergencies.
Master’s degree in a related field preferred. Supervisory experience and extensive experience in residential living as a full-time employee are required.
