Primary responsibilities include assisting in cardiac and thoracic surgeries encompassing both minimally invasive and open procedures, performing endoscopic vein harvesting, and providing support in thoracic cases such as robotic and VATS procedures. The role requires managing post-operative patients in ICU and step-down units while performing APP-level procedures within established privileges including pacing wire removal and chest tube management. Additional duties involve comprehensive documentation, care coordination, patient transition support, and providing 24-hour call coverage on select weekdays and weekends with weekend and holiday patient rounding responsibilities.
