The Employee Health Physician serves within the hospitals Employee Health Services program, providing comprehensive medical oversight and direct care to support the health, safety, and well-being of employees and affiliated staff. This role focuses on the prevention, evaluation, and management of occupational and non-occupational health conditions that may impact an employees ability to safely perform their job duties. The physician is responsible for conducting medical evaluations, determining fitness for duty, managing work-related injuries and exposures, and guiding return-to-work and accommodation decisions in alignment with regulatory requirements and institutional policies. In collaboration with the Medical Director, Human Resources and clinical leadership, the Employee Health Physician helps ensure regulatory compliance, workforce readiness, and continuity of hospital operations.
Required Qualifications:

Board certified or board eligible in Occupational Medicine, Preventive Medicine, Family Medicine, or a related specialty

MD or DO (or foreign equivalent) from an accredited medical school

Current NYS medical license
-
Recent experience in a hospital-based employee health setting or occupational health setting

Knowledge of occupational health regulations

Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Prefe rred Qualifications:

Three or more years experience in Employee Health, Occupational Medicine corporate practice, or hospital-based practice

Familiarity with regulatory standards (OSHA, CDC, Joint Commission)
