Job Summary and Qualifications

The Cardiovascular Technician plays a critical role in supporting high-level cardiac and peripheral procedures. This position requires a professional capable of working with minimal supervision to assist physicians during X-ray guided catheterizations, balloon angioplasty, and stenting. By maintaining a sterile environment, ensuring patient safety, and managing precise documentation, the technician ensures high-quality care for patients across a wide range of developmental stages.

What you will do in this role:

  • Assist the physician during X-ray guided cardiac catheterizations, cardiac and peripheral ballooning, and stenting.

  • Utilize sterile techniques before and during procedures to assist the physician.

  • Perform accurate input of patient and procedure data into the medical record.

  • Maintain arterial and venous hemostasis following procedures.

  • Assist in the safe transport and positioning of patients.

  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and departmental supply inventory.

  • Participate in Performance Improvement (PI) plans and departmental initiatives.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of human growth, development, and assessment for the specific age groups served.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support departmental needs.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree.

  • Current registration as a Registered Technologist (ARRT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained prior to the completion of orientation.

  • Previous experience working in Cath Lab, EP Lab, or in Interventional Radiology strongly preferred.
