As a Registered Nurse specializing in perioperative care, you will play a crucial role in ensuring safe, effective, and high-quality care for patients undergoing surgical procedures. You will be the patient's advocate, directing and supervising personnel, and participating in a regular on-call rotation for the Surgery Unit.

  • Direct and supervise activities within the operating room
  • Implement care plans to protect patients from various risks and ensure correct procedures
  • Manage patient specimens and communicate status throughout care continuum
  • Administer medications safely and maintain patient health metrics
  • Protect patients' rights, dignity, and privacy while providing culturally competent care
  • Document nursing care accurately and collaborate with other disciplines
  • Engage in professional growth and maintain required competencies
  • Float to other departments as needed, based on qualifications

Qualifications include:

  • Associate of Science in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Current RN license in State of Oregon, BLS, ACLS, & PALS Certification, TNCC required
  • CNOR, Peri-op 101, CRASE training preferred
  • Ability to perform varied duties efficiently and maintain composure
  • Strong communication skills and empathy for patients
