Corporate Controller-Accounting

Responsibilities:

• Effectively led the finance team and oversaw all core accounting operations, including AP, AR, general ledger management, and financial reporting.
• Produced accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in alignment with GAAP standards.
• Ensured timely and accurate completion of month ? end and year ? end closing activities.
• Oversaw inventory accounting and cycle counts to maintain accuracy and proper controls.
• Maintained full compliance with federal and state tax requirements.
• Participated in and successfully supported internal and external audits.
• Delivered detailed variance analyses and financial insights to leadership, identifying trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Managed cash flow, financial forecasting, and working capital to support operational needs and sustain liquidity.
• Supervised, trained, and coached accounting staff to strengthen performance and accuracy.
• Collaborated with operations, sales, purchasing, HR, and other departments to advance overall business objectives.
• Acted as a financial advisor to senior leadership, providing strategic guidance on investments, growth initiatives, and risk mitigation.
• Performed additional responsibilities as needed to support the finance department and organizational goals.

Required Qualifications/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive Accounting/Finance experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or Senior Accounting role (Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred).
• Experience with multiple manufacturing operation locations
• Advanced Excel skills: ability to analyze and present complex data.
• Knowledge of Sage Intacct and/or Insight ERP a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with multiple priorities
