About the Role

We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead technical sales efforts across the Eastern U.S. This role is responsible for managing a multi-territory sales strategy, supporting regional technical sales teams, and overseeing a network of Manufacturer's Representatives. The position blends strategic territory management with hands-on customer engagement and technical consultation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and support regional technical sales teams and Manufacturer's Representative companies within assigned territories

  • Select, train, develop, and, when necessary, transition Manufacturer's Representatives

  • Conduct territory market research, analysis, project tracking, and target account identification

  • Develop and implement territory sales strategies aligned with global sales and marketing objectives

  • Travel extensively within assigned territories to conduct customer visits at plant sites, corporate offices, and engineering firms

  • Deliver technical presentations, product application consultations, and sales seminars

  • Collaborate with internal regional managers to execute sales strategies and achieve revenue goals

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at multiple organizational levels

  • Gain and maintain working knowledge of applicable safety and design standards, including API, NFPA, and ISO standards

  • Report territory plans, objectives, and opportunities to sales leadership

  • Support and participate in regional trade shows and industry events

  • Coordinate with global marketing and authorized service partners to identify growth opportunities

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent professional experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience with a technical product line

  • Industry experience in petrochemical, oil & gas, cryogenic systems, or refrigerated bulk gas storage is highly preferred

  • Prior experience managing multiple territories and/or Manufacturer's Representative networks strongly preferred

  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to build long-term relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 60%
