Job Description
Recovery Consultants is hiring compassionate, reliable individuals to provide in-home recovery and mental health support as a Recovery Companion.
This is a non-clinical, one-on-one support role providing companionship, supervision, transportation, structure, and accountability for clients navigating addiction and mental health challenges.
We are not a gig platform. We are a mission-driven team committed to providing high-level, ethical, relationship-centered care.
What You’ll Do
• Provide in-home supervision and supportive companionship
• Transport and accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy, recovery meetings (AA/NA), errands, and activities
• Support daily routines (meals, hygiene reminders, structure, planning)
• Observe clients taking prescribed medications (no administration)
• Reinforce accountability with scheduling and commitments
• Assist with grocery shopping and meal preparation
• Provide daily written updates to your assigned manager
• Report safety concerns and respond appropriately in emergencies
What We’re Looking For
• 21+ years old
• Reliable transportation (CA roles) or comfort using public transportation/rideshare (NY roles)
• Strong emotional intelligence and professional communication skills
• Comfortable working inside clients’ homes
• Ability to work flexible or extended shifts
• Clean background check
Who Thrives Here
• Calm, grounded, and emotionally regulated
• Professional and highly reliable
• Comfortable in high-stress or dynamic environments
• Purpose-driven and motivated by helping others
• Open to feedback, learning, and growth
Why Work With Recovery Consultants?
We believe support work should feel supported.
When you join Recovery Consultants, you are part of a team — not out there alone.
We provide:
• W2 employment (not 1099)
• Twice-monthly group trainings focused on skill-building and real-case scenarios
• Ongoing leadership support and direct access to management
• Professional development and growth opportunities
• Clear communication and structured expectations
• A culture rooted in integrity, accountability, and compassion

Compensation & Perks
• Competitive hourly pay
• Flexible scheduling
• Reimbursable job-related expenses
• Meaningful, mission-driven work
• Opportunities for long-term placement and increased responsibility
If you’re looking for more than “just a job” — and feel called to make a real impact in someone’s life — we’d love to connect with you.
Apply today to join a team that is redefining what recovery support can look like.
