Teen and Family Clinician

Key Result Areas 

 

The Teen and Family Clinician works under the supervision of the Clinical Director. She leads and provides individual, family, and group therapeutic interventions within the Evangelhouse Lifeleaf™ treatment structure. The Teen and Family Clinician completes psychosocial assessments, DSM-V diagnosis, treatment planning and case management.  The Clinician provides individual, family and group psychotherapy interventions.  She works to support the therapeutic process of change as defined by the Lifeleaf philosophy. She also coordinates the communication of clinical data to Psychiatrists, Psychologists and other clinicians. She maintains upbeat, positive and professional communications for team members, clients, referral sources, callers, and outside agencies. 

 

Qualifications and Abilities

  • Master’s degree and training in systems theory based family therapy

  • Licensed or pursuing license as an LMFT, LCSW or LPC

  • Clinical training with adolescent and family therapy

  • Experience in residential treatment is preferred

  • Ability to adapt to a variety of tasks 

  • Able to transport students in a company vehicle

  • Ability to respect Christian values in clinical practice

  • Job duties require Clinician be female

 

Job Skill Requirements

  • Clinical Competence

  • Motivation, desire and natural gifting to work with adolescents

  • Experience or willingness to be trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy

  • Ability to complete written Psychosocial assessments

  • Experience with DSM - V diagnosis of adolescents

  • Experience facilitating individual, family and group therapy interventions

  • Confidential records management experience 

  • Understand and maintain professional boundaries with students and families

 

  • Case Management

  • Complete psychosocial assessments upon admissions 

  • Complete initial treatment plans

  • Assign DSM-V diagnoses for each student 

  • Complete family orientations at each Stage promotion 

  • Process Stage promotion packets

  • Assist students in completing psychiatric symptoms questionnaire

  • Complete documentation, organize files and manage clinical records 

  • Coordinate records and communications with the Psychiatrist and Psychologist

  • Support planning and implementation of experiential therapy interventions at ropes course events 

  • Organize and compile discharge instruction summaries 

  • Coordinate the transfer of confidential records to outside agencies

  • Provide follow-up and aftercare services to clients

  • Serve in on-call staff support rotation

 

  • Customer Service

  • Hospitable, friendly and welcoming demeanor

  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills

  • Serve as liaison between staff, parents, and referring professionals 

  • Flexibility to take responsibility for miscellaneous duties 

  • Support staff team with clinical perspective and creative intervention ideas


 

Salary and Benefits
