Director of Quality-Construction

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership for the quality assurance department, ensuring all quality initiatives align with the company's mission and overall business goals.
• Develop and implement quality strategies, along with continuous improvement plans that enhance operational efficiency.
• Direct the creation and execution of robust quality control procedures that meet or exceed project requirements and industry standards.
• Perform routine quality audits and inspections to verify compliance across all project phases.
• Design and deliver training programs focused on quality standards for construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Champion a strong culture of quality, accountability, and ongoing improvement throughout the organization.
• Partner with safety teams to ensure unified and complementary quality and safety practices.
• Ensure all operations adhere to relevant safety regulations and industry guidelines.
• Identify opportunities for quality enhancement and lead the development and implementation of corrective and preventive action plans.
• Lead, support, and develop the quality assurance team-including inspectors and analysts-promoting collaboration, mentoring, and professional growth.
• Work closely with project teams to apply best practices and strengthen quality performance across projects.
• Maintain accurate and thorough quality documentation, such as quality plans, inspection reports, and project files.
• Prepare and present regular quality performance reports for senior leadership and key stakeholders.

Required Qualifications/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related field (Master's degree or relevant certifications are a plus).
• Valid Certified Welding Inspector with active certification.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in construction quality assurance, including leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of construction quality control processes, safety protocols, and industry standards.
• Exceptional quality leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
