The Purchasing Manager leads the purchasing department and oversees all procurement activities related to metric fasteners and related components for the automotive industry. This role manages supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, ensures cost?effective sourcing, and supports the company's operational and quality objectives. The position requires strong industry knowledge, hands?on experience with MRP systems, and the ability to work effectively with global suppliers.

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet the company's procurement goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify sourcing needs and requirements.
• Lead the purchasing department and oversee daily procurement operations.
• Obtain supplier quotes to support the sales department.
• Issue purchase orders for new parts and ensure timely delivery.
• Negotiate supply contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with domestic and international suppliers.
• Evaluate supplier performance according to company standards and manage supplier claims.
• Participate in selecting new suppliers and developing existing supplier relationships.
• Drive cost?saving initiatives and support continuous improvement in purchasing processes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, including those in Asia.
• Ensure compliance with automotive and industry standards, including TS16949.
• Read and interpret engineering prints ranging from basic to complex.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or technical field.
• Strong knowledge of procurement management principles, practices, and processes.
• Minimum 4 years of experience purchasing metric fasteners for the automotive industry.
• Proven experience in supplier management and contract negotiation.
• Hands?on experience with MRP systems and material planning.
• Practical knowledge of TS16949 requirements.
• Strong ability to build supplier relationships, including international suppliers in Asia.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and team leadership skills.
• Solid understanding of automotive processes and industry standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering prints.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Familiarity with public standards such as ISO, DIN, ASME, and SAE..
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

Salary Range:

$90K-$100K
