Armed Security Officer

Locations: Hickory, NC & Charlotte, NC

WTSA Security is currently seeking professional Armed Security Officers for assignments in Hickory, NC and Charlotte, NC.

Applicants must possess an active North Carolina Armed Guard Card to be considered for this position.

This role requires a confident and professional security presence, strong situational awareness, and the ability to maintain order while ensuring the safety of personnel and property.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and random patrols of assigned premises to ensure a secure environment

• Monitor activity throughout the property and maintain orderly conditions

• Provide visible security presence to promote a safe atmosphere

• Maintain crowd control and manage site access in accordance with post orders

• Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents, disturbances, or safety concerns

• Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs

• Enforce site policies, procedures, and safety regulations

• Exercise sound judgment in all interactions while prioritizing the safety of employees, visitors, and fellow officers

Qualifications & Requirements

• Active North Carolina Armed Guard Card (Required)

• Prior experience as an Armed Security Officer, Security Officer, or Law Enforcement Officer preferred

• Ability to maintain composure and authority in high-traffic or high-activity environments

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Must pass a criminal background check and mandatory drug screening

• Reliable transportation

• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, overnights, and weekends

• Assignments may include retail, commercial, industrial, or private security sites

• Indoor and outdoor shifts depending on location

• Physically active role requiring extended standing, walking, and situational awareness

• Shifts may include days, evenings, overnight, and weekends
