What You'll Do:
- Prepare, compile, and verify statistical, financial, and accounting data for the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Grant Services Unit Subgrant Team.
- Research, analyze, and reconcile expenditure reports; monitor grant account balances to ensure funding availability.
- Complete Personnel Review Process for cost variances compared to prior reported costs.
- Analyze awards and expenditures.
- Verify and research major cost categories (personnel, direct costs, equipment, contracts) when variances occur.
- Reconcile payments against monthly, quarterly, and final expense reports.
- Process subrecipient Invoice Request Forms and resolve payment/expenditure issues via phone and email.
- Access OAKS Financials and Business Intelligence systems to analyze fiscal transactions and verify GMIS account statuses.
- Ensure compliance with Ohio Grants Administrative Policies & Procedures (OGAPP).
- Provide technical assistance to agencies regarding contracts, cost allocation, and expenditure appropriateness.
- Review and verify OAKS Purchase Orders; maintain contact logs.
Additional Duties:
- Prepare, analyze, and maintain fiscal and budgetary reports, records, and files (e.g., POs, invoice logs).
- Assist in annual GAAP report preparation and audit analysis.
- Attend meetings and participate in committees on accounting/fiscal issues.
- Communicate with internal and external customers to resolve reimbursement and invoice payment problems.
- Provide work direction as assigned (distribute workload, monitor completion, generate status reports).
- Assist other sections within the Subgrant Team (e.g., journal vouchers, PO reconciliation, federal reporting).
30 mos. exp. or 30 mos. trg. in accounting &/or finance to include an intermediate level of experience in spreadsheet software.

Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or related field AND;
6 mos. exp. or 6 mos. trg. in accounting &/or finance to include an intermediate level of experience in spreadsheet software.
- Or
12 mos. exp. as Financial Associate, 66561.
- Or
Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
NOTE: Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 mos. of required accounting/fiscal experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications.

Educational Transcript Requirements:
