Position: Quality Control Inspector Location: New Albany, Ohio Reports to: Quality Manager Shift: First Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm ____________________________________________________________________________________ JOB SUMMARY The Quality Inspector is responsible for monitoring and documenting the aesthetic quality (color, visual defects) of anodized parts and the quantity of parts produced. The Inspector is also responsible for the proper segregation and identification of poor quality product, and for sorting product according to specified criteria. - Monitor and document the aesthetic quality (color, visual defects) of anodized parts.
- Monitor the quantity of parts produced compared to production schedule.
- Record production quantities in Syteline.
- Provide timely and complete communication to Line Operators, Crew Leader, Process Assistant and all other impacted operations and functional teams regarding quality issues and quantity shortages.
- Provide adequate and relevant information to incoming shift team members.
- Ensure proper packaging of each part per job card, including accurate number of parts per box, boxes per skid and proper packaging materials.
- Ensure all required customer order quantities are met
- Print all necessary production reports, labels, and job cards using SyteLine ERP system.
- Complete data entry activities as needed.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Perform all other duties as needed.
- Ability to differentiate between colors and shades of color
- Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are required
- Knowledge of quality control concepts and processes within a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated history of excellent attendance and reliability
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice
- Able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs., and stoop or bend as needed.
