Summary

Summary : Responsible for preparing, delivering and picking up trays for patients, communicating pertinent information regarding menu preferences, delivering nourishments, taking inventory of floor supplies and re-supplying them to a par level. Works as a team member with the patients family, nursing, and food service support to maximize patient meal satisfaction. Practice exceptional customer service at all times. Serves as primary liaison between patients and food service operations Responsibilities : Provides meal service to patients. Assist patients with verbal patient meal selections in accordance with current nutrition care order. Communicates food preferences from the patient to the food service department to ensure the highest patient satisfaction with meal service. Communicate frequently with the patient care team for any patients who are problematic, in isolation, or incapable of menu completion for insight into known preferences or family requests. Performs minor food preparation and portioning tasks in accordance with departmental policy. Responsible for the transport of patient trays. Deliver therapeutic nourishment. Delivers trays to patients in accordance with established facility and departmental procedures.
