Sampson Regional Medical Center is hiring a Quality Improvement and Infection Control Coordinator to join the Quality Service team!
Description:
The Quality Improvement and Infection Control Coordinator is responsible for supporting Sampson Regional Medical Center's (SRMC) mission of excellence in patient care delivery and outcomes. The coordinator in collaboration with the Quality Service Department will utilize a data driven, and best practices approach to measurably improve process and patient outcomes. Strategies will include infection prevention and process improvement principles. The coordinator will be responsible for data collection and analysis for improvements, staff education, and regulatory reporting. The coordinator will support regulatory readiness, and compliance with local, state, and federal requirements. The Quality Improvement and Infection Control Coordinator reports to the Director of Quality Services and Risk Management.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) currently licensed without restrictions in North Carolina or a compact license state
- Bachelor's degree required
- Infection control certification preferred or obtained in the first two years of employment
- Three (3) to five (5) years of hospital experience preferred
- Two (2) years of experience in infection control and/or quality improvement
- Intermediate Excel skills preferred
- Critical thinking skills required
Hours:
Full-time, salaried position working 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday to Friday. May work other hours as required or requested for efficient operation of the department.
