This role will be within Technology Nationwide Financial (NF) Integrated Digital Services (IDS).
This is an exciting opportunity to work on the Worlds #1 CRM Salesforce. We are looking for a Specialist, Software Engineer to work on the Salesforce platform as well as other emerging technologies.
As a key technical contributor, youll work handson with a diverse technology stack spanning Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL, and cloudnative tools. Your ability to navigate Linux environments, leverage commandline workflows, and apply modern dataintegration patterns will be essential as you help shape highquality, maintainable applications and services. Experience with platforms such as Spring Boot, Apigee, Kafka, Snowflake, Rancher, and AWS will enable you to effectively build and deploy distributed systems that power critical business functions.

Required Skills & Experience:Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL, and GitHub.
Strong aptitude working in Linux environments and using command-line tools.
Solid understanding of modern data integration patterns.
Familiarity with Relational Databases or Snowflake.
Experience with Spring Boot, Apigee, Liquibase, Kafka.
Exposure to GitHub Actions, Harness, Docker, Splunk, Rancher, AWS (experience building preferred).
Track record of leveraging AI to solve problems and create solutions.

Minimum Qualifications
4+ years Java development or Salesforce Development (strongly preferred) experience with Apex and building Lightning Components
3+ years experience with SOAP and REST based services.
Highly motivated individual willing to learn and participate in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem solving ability
Experience in all Integration Patterns: API/APIGEE, ETL (Informatica/Talend), Event Streaming (Kafka), and Salesforce APEX

Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Completion of undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or other related degree. Technology experience or non-traditional technology certificates can be substituted for an undergraduate degree.
Experience: Four or more years of analysis and technology experience.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Proficiency in one or more programming language such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript. Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle. Proven ability to tackle complex business and development problems. Ability to thrive in a team environment. Insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
