Heavy Equipment Mechanic – Shop Foreman

Mammoth Constructors is seeking a qualified, diverse, and knowledgeable diesel and heavy equipment Shop Foreman - Mechanic for full-time employment.  This person will be self-motivated, team oriented with a strong work ethic and use considerable independent judgement. They will possess the ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written). They will also demonstrate Leadership and Teamwork to achieve and promote the overall company goal of success and growth. 

Requirements:

• Must have at least 3 years minimum experience as a mechanic of heavy diesel equipment, air brake inspections-repairs, and hydraulic systems. 
• Must have and maintain a valid and clean CDL (tanker endorsement required) and current Medical Card. 
• Must be willing to travel. 
• Moderate walking, standing, climbing, heavy lifting, carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling and reaching.
• Willing to continue educational training to meet certification requirements (company provided). 
• Welding and fabrication experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinates, inspects, diagnoses, services and repairs diesel-powered heavy trucks, drill rigs, cranes and other related equipment.
• Performs scheduled preventative maintenance and annual inspections on all equipment.
• Performs off-site emergency diagnoses and repairs.
• Makes and presents recommendations for repairs and modifications of all equipment.
• Maintains all Fleet Records, preventative maintenance records, inspections reports, repair orders, inventory, tools.
• Manages, trains and evaluates Shop Team.
• Provides Road Tests and skill recommendations on newly hired field employees.
• Works closely in collaboration with Shop Fabricator and Office Management.
• Uphold professional and consistent communication with suppliers, vendors and company personnel.
