Rosco, a leading manufacturer of vision safety solutions for the bus and truck vehicle marketplace, is seeking a dedicated Human Resources Recruiter/Generalist to join our team in Jamaica, NY. As a Human Resources team member at Rosco, you will play a key role in full-cycle recruitment while also assisting in other HR functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (Primary Focus)

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating offers.
  • Conduct high volume hiring for factory positions through legacy and new sources.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand the specific requirements of open positions, team structure, and skills gaps.
  • Develop pipelines through multiple channels, including tradition job boards, social media, referrals, networking events and other creative sources.
  • Conduct pre-screens and initial interviews for potential hires.
  • Review and refine current and future job descriptions.
  • Use ATS for data management, including the maintenance of accurate records of candidates, tracking metrics, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and diversity policies before, during, and after interviews.
  • Conduct reference checks, background screenings, and facilitate the onboarding process.
  • Create a formal, dynamic orientation program that focuses on engagement and retention.
  • Remain current on trends within Recruiting, HR and general business.

HR Operations

  • Serve as a resource for employees, addressing questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Support engagement initiatives and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Participate in HR audits, file maintenance, and compliance efforts.
  • Assist in administering performance reviews, goal-setting processes, and employee feedback initiatives.
  • Help coordinate training sessions, compliance courses, and employee development programs in tandem with Training Specialist.
  • Track participation and assist with training documentation.
  • Contribute to process improvements across HR.
  • Support HR initiatives such as policy updates, wellness programs, and organizational development efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by HR leadership.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • 3 years experience in a high volume recruitment role focusing on entry level positions.
  • 2 years experience in HR operations and policies/procedures.
  • Persuasive with a focus on problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of employment law and HR metrics.
  • Proficiency in HR systems (UKG a huge plus) and MS Office Suites.
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality.
  • Must be able to work autonomously.
  • Self-starter with a sense of humor.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Minimum Salary: $60,000
  • Maximum Salary: $70,000
