Jamerson-Lewis is seeking a Project Manager who will hold responsibility and ownership for managing multiple large-scale projects. This position may be located in-office in Lynchburg, VA or at a Jamerson-Lewis project site in the surrounding areas. The Project Manager role reports to a Project Executive and the Vice President of Operations.
The Project Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the schedule, budget, quality, safety, and relationships of assigned construction projects in partnership with the Superintendent.
- Plans and coordinates all aspects of the construction process to effectively manage risk.
- Manage subcontractors, contract negotiations, client expectations, dispute resolution, material procurement, pricing, and schedule.
- Maintain a complete understanding of job contract and contract documents to oversee work and ensure all aspects of the contract are successfully fulfilled.
- Responsible for leading, training, and developing project team members.
- Organize and lead regular meetings to communicate relevant information to owners, team members, subcontractors, and Jamerson-Lewis leadership.
- Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with current and potential clients.

Experience. Education, & Certifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Building Science, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in large, complex facility construction and on-site experience in the management of new construction and the renovation of existing structures.
- Must possess working knowledge of or a willingness to learn how to use the following software applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, Bluebeam, Project Sight, and Viewpoint Vista.
- Valid Driver's License required

Working Conditions:
Construction setting, full time. Must have the ability to crawl, climb, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, crouch, stand for longs periods of time, lift and hold more than 50lbs, talk, hear, and occasionally sit. Must have the ability to withstand confined spaces and or/extreme heights while negotiating tasks at hand in a safe manner to themselves and/or others. Subject to hot, cold, humid, and wet conditions depending on location.
