Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a busy, well-established small animal and exotic veterinary hospital that is expanding its team and seeking an Associate Veterinarian. The practice provides high-quality care to cats, dogs, and exotic species, offering a varied and rewarding caseload in a supportive, progressive environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys general practice medicine, values work-life balance, and may have a particular interest in exotics, though this is not required.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, with extended hours on Mondays until 7:00 pm, and Saturday morning hours from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. The last appointment of the day is at 5:30 pm, and there are no on-call or late-night expectations, supporting a healthy and predictable schedule. The team is open to discussing both full-time and part-time schedules.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will manage a diverse general practice caseload, including preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and ongoing case management. Veterinarians with an interest in exotic medicine are welcomed and supported. You will work collaboratively with the team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care while building lasting relationships with clients and their pets. This role is open to both new graduates and experienced veterinarians, with support available to ensure confidence and continued professional growth.

Practice Details
The hospital has been modernized over the years and is equipped with digital radiography and ultrasound to support efficient diagnostics and quality medicine. The practice is Feline-Friendly accredited and offers services including preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, pain management, laparoscopy, and ultrasound, providing a broad and engaging clinical scope.

Team
You will be joining a collaborative team of two veterinarians, supported by a highly skilled support staff with a 2.5-to-1 staff-to-doctor ratio. The culture emphasizes respect, teamwork, and efficiency, ensuring you have the support needed to focus on excellent patient care.
