Travel Nurse (RN) - ICU (Intensive Care Unit)

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - ICU

Shift : Nights / 7p-7a, 12x3, 36hrs per week, EOW, First to Float

Length : 13 Weeks

Holidays: 2/3 holidays

Requirements:

• CA license
• 2 Years ICU experience
• 1 Year travel experience
• ACLS, BLS, LA City Fire & Safety, NIHSS
• Sheath pulling experience preferred, bedside report is an expectation
• Be familiar with prophyactic bundle for stroke and cardiac patients, ABCDE bundle(bundle to improve vent. Weaning, delirium, and mobility in the ICU), and VAP (ventilator-associated pneumonia) bundle
• Prefer- EKG basic dysrhymia course, pharmacology
• TNCC preferred

Other Details:

• EMR: Cerner. Floor specific orientation: If Cerner experience- then 2 days of floor orientation
• Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Trauma, GSW, Severe head trauma, stab wounds, CABG, IABP, CHF, GI Bleed, DKA, large homeless population, Stroke-TPA, Long bone fractures, GI surgeries, Major transfusions, Titrate gtts
• # beds: 32 all private rooms
• Ratios: 1:2 unless high acuity then 1:1
• First to Float
• Floating: Yes- to Tele or (ER for holds-but rare)
