ABOUT THE ROLE
Maintain housekeeping and sanitation of offices, restrooms, locker rooms, break rooms, control rooms, closets and sanitary stations throughout the liquid products department. This cleaning also includes hallways, stairs, and smoking stations.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Perform all work in accordance with environmental, health, safety, food safety, and quality standards, legal compliance, rules, regulations and practices of the facility.
  • Must be able to pass training/certifications as required for qualification.
  • Replenish supplies of sanitary needs for respective areas with soap, toilet tissue, seat covers, disinfectants, deodorizers, paper towels, utensils for break room (knives, forks, spoons), paper cups, and ensure supply of coffee.
  • Must be able to utilize the walk behind scrubber as well as ride on the scrubber.
  • Must be able to sweep, mop, dust, and wipe down.
  • Clean and empty trash in bathrooms, offices, and break rooms including cleaning of urinals.
  • Cleaning under racks, freezer and supply production rooms with smocks, sleeves, hearing protection, hair and beard nets to all entrances of the plant.
  • Remove all trash and recycling from trash cans and discard in dumpster or appropriate recycling receptacle.
  • Document completed work as required by the supervisor.
  • Compliance with all other duties as assigned.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or GED.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one small group situations to customers, clients, and other team members of the organization.
  • Ability to use effective problem solving skills.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
  • Ability to use mathematical functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in accordance with production paperwork.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.


PHYSICAL AND VISUAL ACTIVITIES:
  • Requires bending, reaching, gripping when performing mopping/vacuuming functions.
  • Must be able to lift bags of trash.
  • Prepare sanitary chemical solutions for cleaning, wiping, and mopping.
  • Ability to visually differentiate items of color, up close and in the distance.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment and/or clothing.
  • Stand/walk 7 or more hours per day.
  • Frequently squat, bend, reach and use eye/hand coordination when cleaning and stocking supplies.
  • Frequently handle/finger, talk/hear and taste/smell.
  • Frequently lift up to 5 lbs from floor to overhead and carry 100 feet.
  • Occasionally use eye/hand/foot coordination when operating hand truck.
  • Occasionally twist/turn, grip/grasp, climb and use fine motor tasks.
  • Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs from floor to overhead and carry 50 feet.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.


ENVIRONMENTAL/ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS:
  • Constantly work with toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • Frequently work in damp, wet, humid and slippery environments.
  • Frequently work near moving equipment.
  • Frequently work with fumes or airborne debris.
  • Frequently work in extreme heat/cold.
  • Occasionally work in high places.
  • Occasionally work in high noise levels requiring hearing protection.


MACHINES/TOOLS/EQUIPMENT/SOFTWARE:
  • Bump cap, hair net, safety glasses, hearing protection, and uniform or smock.
  • Nitrile gloves.
  • Trash can and trash bags.
  • Broom, dustpan, mop, bucket, and vacuum.
