Veterinary Assistant – In House Lab and Specialty Departments

Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital, Northeast Ohio’s premier emergency and specialty veterinary hospital, is seeking Veterinary Assistants to join our growing specialty teams and In House Lab. Position Summary

Support veterinarians and technicians by assisting with patient care, treatments, and daily hospital operations. A great opportunity for those passionate about animal care and interested in specialty medicine.

Previous Veterinary Assistant experience preferred but not required.

Departments & Schedules

Cardiology (Assistant)

• Mon–Thurs: Highland Heights | 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Fri: Akron | 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM

In-House Laboratory Assistant/Technician

• Mon–Fri | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Clinician’s Assistant – Surgery

• Day shift following doctor’s schedule
• Saturday rotation required
• Must be able to travel between both locations

Oncology

• Mon–Fri | 7:30/8:00 AM – 4:00/4:30 PM

Compensation

• $15.00 – $20.00/hr, based on experience
• Shift differential for 3rd shift and weekends
