Fitness Attendant

Do you want to work for a nationally recognized Parks & Recreation Department and gain experience in the exercise science/fitness management field?

This position will be open until filled. Applications are being reviewed as they are received.

Work is performed on site.

Under the direction of the Fitness and Wellness Manager, assist with daily operations of the fitness room and track, including, but not limited to customer orientations, equipment cleaning and general exercise guidance.

Work is performed under the direction of the Fitness and Wellness Manager.

(May not include all duties performed.)

Provide exercise guidance to Fitness Room users. Includes initial orientation required of all new pass holders.

Demonstrate knowledge of each piece of cardiovascular and resistance machines to fitness room users.

Maintain equipment maintenance, which includes cleaning on a daily basis.

Monitor Fitness Room and Track during assigned work hours.

Develop and assist with programs offered in Fitness Room.

Assist with Community Center programs as needed.

Assist with informational displays.

Enforce all Fitness Room policies and procedures.

Work assigned staff hours.

Fill out accident reports when necessary.

CPR Certification

Be able to lift up to 45 pounds

Undergraduate degree in exercise science/fitness management and/or in process of obtaining preferred.
