DepartmentThe Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center are seeking a Urologic Oncologist to join the Department of Urology. Academic rank and track will be commensurate with education and experience.
Position OverviewThe Department of Urology is seeking an exceptional and innovative urologist trained in Urologic Oncology. The faculty position is Full time on the tenure or clinical track, with rank and salary commensurate with education and experience. The successful candidate is a respected clinician, educator, and researcher whose scholarly work has or will have impact on the field of Urology.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe scope of duties includes diagnosis, consultation, and treatment of adult patients presenting with various disorders of the genitourinary system in office, ambulatory, and hospital settings, with a particular focus on Urologic Oncology. The successful candidate must have expertise in minimally invasive surgical approaches to standard and complex genitourinary malignancies.
Requirements- MD, DO, or equivalent
- Residency trained in Urology within an ACGME-accredited program
- Fellowship training in the area of Urologic Oncology
- Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Urology
- Licensed or license eligible to practice medicine in the state of Ohio
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with residents, fellows, faculty members, and other stakeholders
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of resident education and fostering a positive learning environment
- Demonstrated expertise and experience in urology, with a track record of publications and presentations in the field
