Senior Automotive Manager

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to team members to ensure efficient and effective execution of responsibilities.
• Set clear performance goals, communicate expectations, and measure results to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
• Proactively identify improvement opportunities and implement enhanced processes, methods, and systems.
• Develop and execute strategic and innovative plans to support the growth of Design and Sales New Model Development, aligned with departmental objectives and budget requirements.
• Drive profitability by optimizing design decisions, sales pricing, and new model development activities, including production cost, quality, and manufacturing efficiency.
• Manage all aspects of customer accounts to build strong relationships, secure contracts and amendments, and maintain a collaborative, high-performing team.
• Identify and pursue strategic business opportunities with current and prospective customers, leading pricing and commercial negotiations for new model programs in line with organizational capabilities and long-term strategy.
• Establish and execute strategies to achieve annual customer-driven cost reduction targets.
• Lead initiatives to meet customer new model targets, overseeing technical negotiations and all project-related activities.
• Coordinate assurance, validation, and reliability testing for new models, materials, and mass production products.
• Ensure readiness to meet all customer specifications and regulatory testing requirements through effective planning of resources, schedules, and equipment.
• Analyze warranty and quality concerns to improve product performance and reduce associated costs.
• Foster a performance-driven culture by providing clear expectations, ongoing feedback, coaching, and recognition.
• Ensure compliance with company and departmental policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Take on additional responsibilities and address emerging issues as required to support business objectives.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
• 15 years of automotive experience, including engineering, production development and customer relations.
• Leadership experience in senior roles.
• Ability to apply regulations and customer specifications in a new product environment.
• Familiarity with MS Office Suite.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.

Salary Range: $120K-$140K annually DOE
