Overview

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE physiatrist for an outpatient position with unlimited potential for growth. The ideal candidate would be proficient in electrodiagnostic medicine as well as skilled in musculoskeletal medicine including ultrasound guided peripheral interventions. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience. Our benefits package includes retirement, medical and dental plans, malpractice, conference and vacation.

Duties And Responsibilities

Faculty responsibilities are consistent with our tripartite mission - patient care, education, and clinical research. The physiatrist will perform electrodiagnostic (EMG) procedures and may also provide a comprehensive evaluation of patients for musculoskeletal complaints. The individual selected for this position will have ample opportunities to contribute to training, research, and other scholarly pursuits. Other duties include but are not limited to representing the program or Department by participating in committees, conferences, and representing OSU at professional meetings and community speaking engagements. The physiatrist is expected to practice within the established Medical Center and standards of practice (policies, procedures, protocols), and adhere to key results areas of the Medical Center.

Requirements
  • MD or DO
  • Successful completion of an accredited PM&R Residency Program
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in PM&R
  • Additional EMG Board Eligible and/or Certified Preferred
  • Eligible for an Ohio Medical License

Faculty Defined

Clinical faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with titles of assistant professor-clinical, associate professor-clinical and professor-clinical. These faculty will have earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field. Clinical faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of three to five years. They may be reappointed to successive terms. Their principal career focus is the delivery of exemplary clinical care, and may include teaching, and/or research.
