Associate Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its Clinton Hill location in Brooklyn, New York. The practice provides veterinary care to dogs and cats and is hiring an experienced veterinarian for a dedicated Saturday-only, part-time position focused on urgent care and appointments.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a part-time role with a consistent Saturday-only schedule. The Associate Veterinarian will work every Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. There are no weekday shifts, no additional weekend days, no on-call duties, and no holiday work. The hospital does not offer overnight or after-hours care at this location.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage a fast-paced caseload centered on daytime urgent care and scheduled appointments. Each Saturday typically includes 16 to 18 appointments booked in 30-minute intervals, along with 4 to 6 drop-offs and walk-ins. Clinical responsibilities include urgent care cases, sick visits, diagnostics, wellness care, client communication, treatment planning, and follow-up care. Surgery is not required for this role. The position is suited to an experienced veterinarian with emergency or urgent care experience who is confident, decisive, and comfortable working in a busy, client-facing environment.

Practice Details
The hospital is a full-service small animal practice focused on delivering personalized, high-quality care through tailored wellness plans. Services offered include wellness and preventive care, vaccinations, dentistry, advanced diagnostics, urgent care, sick visits, spays and neuters, dermatology care, acupuncture, nutrition support, euthanasia services, health and travel certificates, and senior and pediatric care. The facility is equipped with ultrasound, digital and dental radiography, in-house diagnostics, therapeutic laser, EKG, echocardiogram, cryotherapy, and EZ Vet practice management software.

Team
The team includes four DVMs supported by a strong and experienced support staff. The environment is collaborative and close-knit, with skilled technicians and assistants handling technical tasks so doctors can focus on patient care and client relationships.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
