Associate Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a hospital located in Hortonville, Wisconsin, seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their exclusively equine practice. This is a well-established general practice focused on delivering gold-standard equine medicine with a strong emphasis on wellness care and sports medicine. The hospital supports individual professional interests and welcomes candidates interested in diagnostic imaging, integrative therapies, lameness, or podiatry.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and is closed on weekends. The position follows a five-day workweek, with an on-call rotation of approximately one night per week and one weekend per month.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will handle a diverse and large caseload, averaging 25 to 50 patients per week. Responsibilities include both ambulatory and haul-in care, focused on wellness, lameness evaluations, podiatry, dentistry, integrative medicine, internal medicine, and reproductive services. The role is open to veterinarians with experience who are looking to develop their clinical interests within a collaborative team.

Practice Details
The facility spans nearly 11,000 square feet and includes 14 hospital stalls, two treatment rooms, a surgical suite with knockdown stall, an on-site lab, and an indoor arena. The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools such as digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, gastroscopy, and regenerative therapies including IRAP, PRP, ProStride, and shockwave. Services are offered both in-hospital and on farms, including acupuncture, spinal manipulation therapy, ophthalmology, podiatry, and 24/7 emergency care.

Team
The practice is staffed by six DVMs and a dedicated support team. The environment is collaborative and supportive, with regular rounds, staff meetings, and community outreach efforts designed to foster mentorship and team cohesion.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
