Packaging Mechanic I (Bilingual English/Spanish)
Location: Monroe, New Jersey
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Pay Rates:
• 1st Shift: $27.00/hr
• 2nd Shift: $29.50/hr
• 3rd Shift: $32.00/hr

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Packaging Mechanic I to join their team in Monroe, NJ. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing packaging machinery to ensure efficient production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance
• Assist with line changeovers and equipment adjustments
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues
• Communicate breakdowns requiring 20+ minutes to repair
• Follow safety, EHS, and LOTO procedures

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience with packaging or industrial machinery
• Mechanical/electrical experience in manufacturing
• Knowledge of LOTO and EHS compliance
• Ability to read diagrams, gauges, charts, and work instructions
• Comfortable with basic math (fractions, decimals, measurements)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required

Preferred

• Technical school or trade certification
• Experience using machine shop equipment
