Job Summary
Job Description
Produce progressive menus and menu presentation to provide exceptional food quality and timely customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete all aspects of food preparation and cooking on a daily basis.
- Collaborate with front of house personnel to ensure food delivery, presentation and quality are maintained in front of house operations.
- Conduct internal catering preparation for meetings and luncheons as needed.
- Source specified ingredients, reviewing in bound ingredients & putting away inbound ingredients, and rotation of walk-in cooler. Verify the quantity and quality of received products.
- Develop cafe menu and tastings, coordinating with manager. Plan and develop recipes and menus, taking into account such factors as seasonal availability of ingredients and sales trends.
- Stay abreast of culinary trends to participate in appropriate menu development.
- Maintain dishroom, small wares, and general cleaning of kitchen and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
2 years plus restaurant cooking experience, with formal culinary training preferred.
Maintain ServSafe certification.
Ability to work in a cooperative, team oriented atmosphere.
Excellent communication skills with multiple levels within the organization.
Motivation and drive to achieve results and make continuous improvements.
