Job Description
We're looking for Pediatric Operating Room RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Norfolk, VA. The right RN will have at least 1-2 years of recent acute care experience. Read below for more requirements:
Pediatric Operating Room RNs will perform minor medical operations, advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries, and plan long-term care needs. Other responsibilities of a Pediatric OR Travel Nurse include documenting medical history, checking for any allergies the patients might have, obtaining patients' vital signs, and monitoring patients' emotional and physical well-being.
As a Pediatric OR Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:
- Assist with moving and positioning of patient.
- Manage care of patient in the OR according to hospital policy.
- Ensure all patient paperwork is completed prior to procedure.
- Watch for signs and symptoms of impaired gas exchange related to anesthesia.
- Remain by the patient's side until anesthesia has been successfully induced.
* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
