Associate Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a small animal general practice based in Brooklyn, New York, hiring an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. The clinic opened in 2018 and operates as a community-focused practice providing comprehensive veterinary care. They see small animal patients and are seeking an Associate Veterinarian to support continued growth and high-quality patient service.

Working Hours / Rota
The practice is open seven days a week. Hospital hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Sunday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. The role is available on either a full-time or part-time basis.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will deliver compassionate and thorough medical care to small animal patients. Responsibilities include wellness and sick exams, vaccinations, in-house diagnostics, surgery, and dental care, with a strong focus on preventive medicine and client communication. The role also involves working closely with a collaborative veterinary and support team. The practice is open to either experienced veterinarians or new graduates, and candidates should be comfortable performing surgery and have a strong interest in wellness-focused care.

Practice Details
The clinic offers a wide range of services aimed at comprehensive small animal care. Services include wellness care, vaccinations, dental procedures, surgical services, in-house diagnostics, parasite prevention, microchipping, senior pet care, and nutritional counseling. Additional offerings include laser therapy, platelet rich plasma, stem cell therapy, behavior counseling, and emergency services. The practice environment supports high clinical standards and a balanced caseload.

Team
The team consists of three DVMs supported by a strong and reliable support staff. The working environment emphasizes teamwork, communication, and a supportive culture focused on providing excellent patient and client care.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
