Maintenance Electrician

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, install, repair, test, and calibrate complex AC and DC electrical systems, including motor-start circuits, AC magnetic circuits, pilot devices, pressure and limit switches, and solenoid valves.
• Perform preventive and routine maintenance on all equipment to ensure reliable operation
• Support and train operators in basic maintenance tasks and best practices
• Assist operators with machine troubleshooting to resolve quality issues and reduce downtime.
• Analyze repair trends and equipment performance to identify root causes and implement corrective actions that prevent recurring failures.
• Install new equipment and perform upgrades or modifications to existing systems.
• Source, order, and manage replacement parts, assisting with organization of the spare parts inventory.
• Accurately complete and maintain documentation of all work performed.
• Demonstrate and promote safe work practices on every job, including proper use of LOTO, PPE, and elevated work procedures.

Required Experience:

• High School Diploma required. Certificate, degree, or apprenticeship in an electrical or electronics trade is strongly preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge and understanding of 480V 3 phase power
• Experience with mechanical power transfer systems, pneumatics and hydraulics
• Competence reading electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Fork truck operation and rigging experience.
• Must be able to work with limited supervision.
• Excellent time management and the ability to handle multiple priorities
• Clearly communicate verbally and in writing
• Customer Service inclination, the entire facility is your customer.
• Detail oriented with a natural preference to see things orderly.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel and Outlook)
• The ability to see colors is necessary

Preferred:

• Familiar with the National Electrical Code NFPA 70
• Working knowledge of NFPA electrical standard for industrial machinery
• Allen Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting basic experience.
• Basic knowledge of RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000 software.
• North Carolina electrical license
