Manager, IC Recruiting - Last Mile Department: Operations - Last Mile Employment Type: Full Time Location: Grove City, OH Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000 / year Description This position is primarily remote, but you may occasionally be required to work on-site if you are located near one of our facilities. The Manager, Independent Carrier Recruiting is responsible for establishing and maintaining a network of qualified Independent Contractors (ICs) to support business objectives. The Manager will coordinate with Recruiters and Operational Leadership to monitor Carrier needs in each market. The Manager will collaborate to support business growth and develop a plan to maintain capacity for each of the Fidelitone Last Mile hubs. The Manager, Recruiting will manage a staff of recruiters, with clear performance metrics, to support the business. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Contractor Business Management Research, identify, evaluate, and contract Carriers for all Fidelitone Last Mile hubs Establish clear contractual agreements with Carrier network and monitor performance against key performance indicators (KPI's) Maintain consistent vetting process for qualifying Carriers based on Company, DOT and other legal requirements Perform quarterly Carrier business reviews to ensure compliance and monitor performance Maintain industry knowledge of Carrier pay for differentiated delivery service levels and different markets to ensure cost-effective delivery services Recruiting and startup planning to support existing and new business Provide support for Carrier Travel Teams for all locations Support Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all locations and clients within those locations and services offered Collaborate with Fidelitone Safety and Compliance to ensure all requirements (i.e. all required insurance, background checks, etc.) are met Collaborate with Fidelitone internal Solutions Group to provide Carrier rates for new Business Development Opportunities Ongoing Carrier expense management Identify Carrier trends per market Deliver reporting and solutions for Carrier turnover Furnish monthly reporting on Carrier performance Ensure Carrier interviews are supported with Operations Leadership Manage Team for high performance results Other duties as assigned Required Skills Ability to develop and maintain rapport and effective internal and external relationships to support business success Excellent verbal and written communication skills Operational Experience with last mile delivery Experience with Microsoft Office and other business systems Understand P&L and sales profitability Experience with negotiating Carrier pay Ability to manage Contractor Recruiters Required Experience Undergraduate degree in business or a related field preferred 5+ years of operations, management, systems/applications experience in logistics and supply chain service environments or delivery service providers Experience with 3rd party contracts for delivery agents Previous Business Development experience a plus
