Maintenance Technician

3rd shift: 7pm-7:30am

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Maintenance Manager with technical evaluations, guidance, and hands-on troubleshooting and repairs.
• Provide technical support and expertise to Maintenance Technicians.
• Design and modify control circuits for existing equipment.
• Perform maintenance on AC/DC control systems, PLCs, microprocessor controls, and power distribution systems, while improving preventive maintenance programs.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and sanitary always.
• Offer feedback to engineers to enhance current equipment and contribute to future design improvements.
• Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.
• Be available for overtime, weekend, and off shift work as required.
• Safely climb ladders and navigate walkways.
• Work effectively in a production environment.
• Program PLCs, particularly Allen Bradley systems.
• Configure and program HMI modules.
• Design and build electrical control panels.
• Complete all required reports and documentation accurately.
• Respond promptly to equipment trouble calls.
• Report equipment failures to supervisors both verbally and in writing.
• Prepare, read, and interpret routine reports and correspondence.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair automated high-speed production machinery.
• Use CMMS to thoroughly document and track all corrective and preventive maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• 5-10 years of job-related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret machine manuals/schematics, electrical blueprints/schematics, and process control diagrams.
• Experience writing and troubleshooting ladder logic.
• Experience troubleshooting and installing 480V electric motor wiring and 120V and 24V DC motor control circuits
• Experience troubleshooting and programming VFD
• Must have working knowledge of RS Logix and/or C Logix as well as SLC/Micro Logix programming platforms.
• Highly effective in interpreting and understanding the fault readings on controllers, PLC's, and variable frequency drives, and taking appropriate corrective actions.
