Assists Corporate Bankers and Portfolio Managers in managing existing Corporate Banking relationships. Acts as a contact person when the Corporate Banker and/or Portfolio Manager are not immediately available and provides direct client service. Expands or deepens client relationships by identifying client needs and making proper introductions to business partners. Ability to work independently to support more complex Corporate clients.

Coordinates closings for new loans and modifications with guidance from the Corporate Banker. Works closely with the Corporate Banker and Portfolio Manager to ensure the risk management of each client relationship complies with policy and procedure, as well as commercial and regulatory guidelines.

Essential Job Responsibilities__________________________________

1. Assists Corporate Bankers and Portfolio Managers in managing existing relationships by performing the following:

a. Collects and tracks all required financial information for the Credit Department to prepare an analysis. Reports collection activity to management in a timely manner.

b. Acts as a contact person when the Corporate Banker and Portfolio Manager are not immediately available.

c. Provides direct service to commercial clients on all of their banking needs with respect to deposit, loan and other miscellaneous products and services, including (but not limited to):

i. Answering questions on loans and other accounts, assisting with loan payments and collecting past due loan payments.

ii. Processing advances from lines of credits or multi disbursement credits; preparing and initiating wire transfers.

iii. Performing client verification for ACH and Wire Overlimit requests.

iv. Working with branches to set up accounts or other services and introducing clients to branch staff.

v. Researching issues, providing solutions and preparing maintenances.

vi. Working with Treasury Management on client issues, as needed.

2. Builds client relationships by identifying client needs, recognizing cross-sell opportunities and communicating to Corporate Banker and/or making proper introductions to business partners.

3. Loan Origination System (Abrigo) front-end input of new loan requests. LOS line of business “expert.”

4. Assists in the cross-training of new Corporate Bankers and Portfolio Managers on various Bank systems.

5. Active member of Regional Relationship Team meetings.

6. Coordinates loan and modification closings by performing the following:

a. Assists in the preparation of the required pre-closing documents needed for the in-house loan documentation to begin (i.e., commitment letter, application, Reg B Letter, Good Standing Searches)

b. Orders Property Reports and flood determination (if real estate is held as collateral)

c. Completes UCC Search to prepare UCC Summary and works with Secured Credit to order an appraisal (if applicable)

d. Completes all required Loan Origination System workflows to move requests from loan approval through closing and post-closing workflow stages.

e. Obtains all invoices, descriptions, serial numbers, etc. if equipment is being purchased.

f. Prepares upload forms for the loans to be booked to the system.

g. Coordinates loan closings and fundings with all necessary parties, including Loan Services, title companies, counsel, borrower’s counsel, and the Wire Room, when applicable.

h. Issues attorney engagement letters and works with outside counsel to prepare the loan documents in accordance with the bank approval and remains in constant communication with the attorney, Corporate Banker, and Loan Documentation to meet all deadlines as well as close the loan as approved.

i. Prepares necessary internal documents needed for the closing and funding of new loans, i.e., wire instructions, wire form, upload documents, Disbursement Authorization, etc.

j. Communicates with Loan Documentation to ensure that funding of the loan occurs in a timely fashion and works out any issues that may arise. Checks status of funding and notifies all necessary parties when it has occurred.

k. Works with Serviced Loans and Secured Credit to provide necessary information for closing participations and syndications, fully-followed transactions, dealer floor plan lines, and real estate transactions.

l. Checks system to ensure that the loan(s) were uploaded properly.

7. Follows proper policies and procedures to authenticate clients for all requests. Verifies identity and ensures that the appropriate authorized individual has submitted the request and has provided supporting documentation to prevent fraud.

8. Works closely with the Corporate Banker and Portfolio Manager to ensure the risk management of each client relationship is in compliance with policy and procedure, as well as commercial and regulatory guidelines.

9. Provides sales information to management on a timely basis so that this information can be included as part of client service and sales performance reports.

10. Coordinates rate changes, fees, lender incentives, etc. for SWAPs with Corporate Banker, client, Treasury, and any other financial institution for participation loans.

11. Collects items requested by Audit pertaining to assigned portfolio. Follows-up on Audit Findings as needed.

12. Works with all necessary parties including title companies, counsel, and clients to clear documentation exceptions in a timely manner.

13. Assists in the training and mentoring of newer and/or less experienced Corporate Banking Portfolio Specialists.

14. Serves as a representative of Corporate Banking in various special projects, as assigned.

Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications___________________________

1. Minimum of three (3) years related experience required.

2. Associates degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is required.

3. Excellent MS Word and Excel skills, Customer Service and communication skills, ability to work as a team player and to prioritize work effectively are all required.

4. Knowledge of required financial information and a good understanding of loan structure are required.

5. Strong computer skills with the ability to learn internal systems are required.

6. May be eligible for Telecommuting.
