An opportunity exists for a Special Education Teacher focusing on intervention support for elementary students in Columbus, OH. This contract role spans the current school year through June 23, 2026, within a K-8 school environment. The position demands a skilled professional to manage a cross-categorical caseload primarily covering grades 3 to 6, addressing a variety of disabilities including Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), Intellectual Disabilities (ID), and minor Other Health Impairments (OHI).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and intervention strategies tailored to diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with general education staff to create inclusive educational experiences.
- Conduct assessments and maintain thorough documentation of student progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings and develop educational plans aligning with state standards.
- Provide itinerant support across grade levels as required.
Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license (No Education Unlimited license accepted).
