A Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school in the Dublin, OH area, serving students in grades 3 through 6. This contract opportunity spans the current school year, beginning ASAP and continuing through June 23, 2026. The role involves providing specialized instruction and support to a caseload of students with diverse disabilities, including Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), Intellectual Disabilities (ID), and minor Other Health Impairments (OHI).
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with special needs across grades 3 to 6
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each students unique abilities and goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to facilitate student success
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
- Support the academic and social development of students in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Serve as an itinerant specialist, providing services across the assigned school
Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist teaching license required (No Education Limited License accepted)
- Experience working with students with cross-categorical disabilities such as SLD, ID, and OHI
- Ability to manage and support a caseload effectively within an elementary school setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Flexibility to provide services itinerantly within the school
