POSITION SUMMARY

  • The Automation Architect, Business Process Improvement and VOS, is responsible for designing, developing, and managing integrations and workflow automations using Workato to further improve the end-to-end Opportunity-to-Cash (OTC), Procure-to-Pay (PTP), New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI), and Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) processes within the Americas region. This role will play a key part in optimizing and accelerating digital transformation efforts by identifying automation opportunities, translating business requirements into scalable recipes, and ensuring operational reliability across systems.
  • In this role you will need a process improvement mindset, ability to listen and address specific problems, articulate solutions, and coordinate different projects. The ability to influence others and obtain business buy-in are critical to being successful in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with BPI teammates, process owners, analysts, and IT stakeholders to identify automation use cases and define functional requirements.
  • Develop and maintain reusable components, templates, and best practices for Workato integrations.
  • Collaborate with IT to define and enforce Workato governance practices, including naming conventions, logging, exception handling, and API security.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot recipe performance, ensuring operational resilience and error handling.
  • Collaborate with BPI teammates to understand workflows and recommend automation opportunities.
  • Support change management and user enablement efforts related to automation adoption.
  • Maintain documentation and knowledge bases for all integrations.
  • Stay current with Workato platform updates and new features; proactively identifying opportunities to enhance existing automations.
  • Collaborate with IT to provide new tools, APIs, and techniques that can expand automation capabilities.
  • Ability to plan and execute multiple moderately complex Workato recipes simultaneously.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Marketing, or a related discipline. Workato Automation Pro certifications. Familiarity with master data management, data governance, and enterprise architecture principles
  • Work Experience: 5+ years of experience in integration or automation development. 2+ years of hands-on Workato experience. Worked in an international and culturally diverse organization.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; other languages are a plus. Good communicator, confident in interacting with all levels of individuals across a variety of internal/external functions.
  • Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and solve complex problems. Good attention to details.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to translate business processes into scalable technical solutions. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Advanced experience with ERP financial applications (Oracle preferred). Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (experience in Power BI preferred).
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a positive team dynamic. Strong, proven business partnering mentality; has the maturity and awareness to strike the right balance between facilitating and challenging the business.
