As a Tax Manager, youll play a key leadership role in providing outstanding tax and advisory services while developing lasting client relationships. Youll oversee day-to-day tax engagements, review client data, stay informed on legislative updates, and manage tax return preparation and reviews for a wide range of clients. This is also a great opportunity to mentor and lead a talented team of accountants, helping them grow in their careers while contributing to the firms continued success.

Positions available in: Batesville, Columbus, Greensburg, and Indianapolis. Hybrid.

Tax Manager Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, corporations, and non-profits.
  • Oversee engagements in line with firm policies, budgets, and procedures.
  • Analyze and review accounting data and financial statements.
  • Identify and research complex tax issues, including opportunities for savings and process improvements.
  • Support client management by gathering tax information, researching tax questions, and providing proactive recommendations.
  • Maintain direct communication with clients to ensure strong, long-term relationships.
  • Continuously expand your knowledge of client operations, business goals, and evolving federal and state tax regulations.
  • Mentor and guide team members to ensure quality performance and professional growth.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Tax Manager Qualifications
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 6+ years of public accounting experience
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • CPA preferred or at least EA
  • CCH experience but not necessary
  • Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience preparing and reviewing Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 990
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new software and systems
