As a technician, you will be involved in polishing and buffing parts to a shiny finish, managing jobs using a computer, conducting quality control on parts, and working within a dynamic team environment. Your work will contribute to technologies that assist scientists in exploring the frontiers of physics and materials science. Responsibilities Polish and buff metal parts to a shiny, high-quality finish. Inspect finished parts for quality and consistency. Maintain polishing and buffing equipment. Perform minor machining tasks including tube cutting. Ensure a clean and safe work environment. Essential Skills Mechanical aptitude Willingness to be trained 1+ year of experience operating large equipment such as cranes, buffers, or polishers Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with metal finishing Experience operating a sander/polisher machine Why Work Here? The position offers a flexible first shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, with start times as early as 5:30 AM and end times up to 5:30 PM, allowing you to create your own schedule. The role requires 40 hours of work per week with optional overtime available. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westerville, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
