We are seeking a motivated Software Developer to join our dynamic and growing organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing embedded, web-based, and Windows applications. This role requires a creative problem solver who can deliver innovative solutions to complex development challenges.

You will be part of a team that designs and supports the future of the North American Freight and Passenger Railroad Market. This team develops and maintains real-time embedded applications used in safety-critical train control and signaling systems, grade crossing protection systems, signaling products, and electronic interlockings. You will collaborate with other engineering departments and participate in the development, documentation, verification, and support of safety-critical real-time microprocessor-based systems and products applied in the railroad industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop embedded, web-based, and Windows applications
  • Collaborate with engineering departments on system development and support
  • Participate in documentation, verification, and support of safety-critical systems

Requirements:

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in Software Engineering in an Agile Environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Event-Driven, Service-Based, and Cloud-Native Architecture and Design
  • Proficiency in Java, including JavaFX
  • Experience with JUnit and mocking frameworks (e.g., Mockito)
  • Experience with Angular and AMQP
  • Proficiency with git, Kubernetes, and Docker
  • Experience in estimating software development efforts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with RabbitMQ and PostgreSQL
  • Experience in the Railroad Domain

The pay range for this position is $102,102 - $137,802 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
