Insurance Defense Attorney

A well-established law firm in New York City is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join its litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to handle complex civil litigation matters in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a full caseload of general liability defense matters, including premises liability, property damage, and personal injury claims.

• Conduct and defend depositions, hearings, and mediations.

• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, discovery responses, and settlement agreements.

• Develop case strategies in coordination with partners and clients.

• Attend court appearances and manage cases from inception through resolution or trial.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active admission to the New York State Bar .

• Minimum of 3–5 years of insurance defense litigation experience , with a focus on general liability.

• Strong litigation, deposition, and motion practice experience required.

• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.

• Ability to manage multiple files independently and communicate effectively with clients.
