Position: CNC Swiss Set-Up Operator
The CNC Swiss Set-Up Operator is responsible for setting up and running Tsugami and Hanwha Swiss machines to produce high-precision metal components in a job shop environment. This role involves daily set-ups, meeting production targets, and maintaining strict quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and run Swiss Tsugami and Hanwha machines to meet production set-up and run times. 
- Install tooling, adjust offsets, and edit programs for efficiency. 
- Select and set cutting tools, fixtures, clamps, and soft jaws. 
- Use precision measuring equipment to ensure all parts meet tight tolerances. 
- Interpret engineering prints, drawings, and sketches. 
- Inspect and verify the quality of your own work. 
- Train and mentor operators on equipment and processes. 
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. 
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience setting up Swiss machines. 
- Proficiency in setting up and programming Hanwha and Tsugami lathes. 
- Skilled in tooling selection, installation, and inspection. 
- Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills. 
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-changeover environment. 
- Strong time management, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. 
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
