Job Summary

The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for the organization, delivery, and control of materials in our warehouse. This is including but not limited to warehouse safety, maintenance, and other duties as required to properly maintain and operate the functions of the warehouse. They work as part of a team and under the supervision of the team lead. Candidates should have an aptitude for doing hands-on work and can follow direction, as well as work safely.

Responsibilities

  • Complete shipments by processing and loading orders.

  • Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.

  • Complete deliveries by driving truck or van to and from vendors.

  • Maintain truck or van by completing preventive maintenance requirements and arranging for repairs.

  • Enforce inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing requests.

  • Provide quality service by following organization standards.

  • Preserve safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area and workstations neat.

  • Promote clean shipping supply by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

  • Complete reports by entering required information.

  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Ensure that all company safety procedures are followed to include proper use of safety equipment.

  • Receive and document merchandise for delivery or return.

  • Keep an inventory of all merchandise entering and exiting the warehouse.

  • Identify any missing, lost, or damaged materials and immediately notify the supervisor.

  • Ensure all merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping.

  • Scan labels to ensure products are shipped to the right destination.

  • Maintaining all tools, vehicles and equipment normally assigned to this job.

  • Prioritize work to maximize time efficiency.

  • Learn how to safely operate a fork truck.

Education & Experience

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

The employee must be able and willing to travel locally to reach customer and network locations or local events and regularly work in outdoor weather conditions. Compliance with all Company safety procedures is a requirement.

  • The employee is regularly required to communicate with customers and co-workers in a clear and straight forward manner.

  • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and will be standing during most of the day. The employee will frequently service network equipment and position self to access network equipment in small remote cabinets, vaults, and buildings with limited space to work. Additionally, work may be performed near power lines, electricity, gas lines, and other utility lines.

  • The employee must regularly carry, move, push, pull, install, and/or remove tools and equipment weighing 20 to 50 pounds (and frequently 50 to 100 pounds).

  • The employee must be physically able to safely operate a variety of machinery and equipment including shovels, rakes, sledgehammers, pick axes, excavators, plows, trenchers, company vehicles, and other telecommunications or construction equipment.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision (specifically the ability to differentiate between different sizes and colors of wires), peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

  • The employee must occasionally be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time and operate computer and other office equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a Full-Time Non-Exempt position. Days and hours of work are Generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. An appropriate level of communication about expected hours of work between the remote employee and supervisor will be agreed to as part of the discussion process and will be more formal during the trial period. With on call duties as assigned relating to ANS Advanced Network Services user issues after hours, weekends, and holidays.

Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Salary Range: $35K - $48K Position Warehouse Associate Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt Location Mid West Region
