Overview:

Job Description Summary:

Performs basic supportive care to specified patients/families under the direction and supervision of an RN/Care Manager/Preceptor. Collects, documents, and reports data to the RN/Care Manager.

Job Description:

Essential Functions:

• Assists in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
• Monitors and records vital signs, symptoms, and progress of patients.
• Provides emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
• Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for patients.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care.

Education Requirement:

• Enrolled in a BSN nationally accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE), required.
• Successful completion of 2 clinicals (not including Long Term Care or Psych), required.
• Must be a Junior or Senior nursing student in good standing with at least a 3.0 GPA or above (unofficial transcript will be required), required.

Licensure Requirement:

Certifications:

CPR certified (BLS for Healthcare Provider required), required.

Skills:

Proficient written and verbal communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Experience:

Hospital Clinical experience, preferred.
