Schedule: Monday – Friday, Variable Day Off
Weekend Requirement: On-Call Only
Call Schedule:
1 On-Call Day per Week
1 On-Call Weekend Every 6 Weeks
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) for a 20-week travel assignment at a leading healthcare facility in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience, with the ability to float within their scope of practice, including to the Cath Lab and EP Lab, where required procedures on the unit are performed.
This assignment includes a full-time schedule of 40 guaranteed hours per week, with on-call responsibilities and the potential to float within the facility. The position is open to first-time travelers and local candidates (same rate applies).
Key Responsibilities:
Perform interventional radiology procedures according to facility protocols.
Float to Cath Lab and EP Lab as needed.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a sterile field.
Participate in call rotation as scheduled.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other team members for patient care.
Document procedures and patient information accurately.
Requirements:
Minimum Experience: 1 year (Unit accepts first-time travelers)
Licensure/Certifications: Must meet state and facility requirements (details provided upon offer)
Flexibility: Must be willing to float within the facility and cover required procedures in Cath and EP Labs
Schedule Details:
Work Days: Monday through Friday, with a variable day off
Call: One weekday call per week + One weekend every 6 weeks
Holidays:
If 1 major holiday falls during assignment → Must work it
If 2 major holidays → Must work both
If 3 major holidays → Must work 2
Major Holidays Include:Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving/Black Friday
Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
Compliance & Orientation:
Full compliance required to start on time
Non-compliance will result in a 2-week start delay due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
Non-Billable Orientation Hours (NBO): 19 hours for 20-week assignment
Screening Process:
Clinical screening will be conducted to assess clinical fit
If the candidate passes and meets Piedmont guidelines, the application will be forwarded to the hiring manager for final review
Clinical screens are performed case-by-case
Additional Details:
RTO (Requested Time Off): Maximum of 7 days allowed
Local Candidates Accepted: Paid at the same rate
